Where We come from
The Historic Villager Tavern has been family owned and operated for almost 30 years. Founded in 1973 and purchased by the Piarrot family in 1991, The Villager is a local haven for beer enthusiasts, dart players, college students, and young professionals alike. Originally the entrance to the historic Hillsboro Theatre (Now Belcourt) in the 1920s, the building was purchased and turned into a bar in the 1930s.
Steeped in tradition, The Villager Tavern, like most of Hillsboro Village, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. Today, the bar serves as a community living room, local watering hole, and nexus for those interested in playing darts. Come be part of our rich heritage and go "where the locals go". Have your next beer at The Villager Tavern.
